Robert W. Cullen
Professor / Mediator / Special Master
Robert W. Cullen is a Mediator and an Adjunct Law Professor. He was formally a shareholder with Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel, Inc., one of the largest San Jose based law firms. He specializes in negotiation and mediation strategy as well as leadership for lawyers. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Santa Clara Law School. He has taught at Santa Clara for 10 years and is a frequent lecturer on negotiation and leadership for lawyers. He has developed the nation’s first semester long law course on Leadership and he is recognized as an expert on that subject.

He is the founding President of the San Jose Leadership Council. He has spoken on various topics, including negotiation, the management of complex commercial and construction litigation, strategic lawyering, and Leadership for lawyers. In 1978, Mr. Cullen received his Bachelor of Arts degrees with Honors in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He graduated from Hastings College of Law in 1982.
